The Center for Better Living, Inc. is a nonprofit agency that serves individuals with crisis intervention and mental health assistance. If you or someone who you care about are struggling with such issues, take that first step and contact the Center for Better Living, Inc. They are located within Vero Beach.1

The Substance Abuse Council of Indian River County is a nonprofit that offers education and prevention services for individuals who are battling some form of substance abuse. They feature many different services and activities that range from individual to community outreach initiatives. These include the teen theater troupe, lending library, community education, newspaper column, drug-free events for families and youth, and much more. Current Initiatives

The Homeless Family Center handles cases of homeless families who are located within St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin, and Okeechobee Counties. There is an emergency shelter, a transitional shelter, as well as three stand-alone houses for individuals who are in need of housing assistance. The Harvest Food & Outreach Center is an organization which runs on a nonprofit basis. It is set up to help individuals to break free from poverty and improve their status in life, in general.
