Although the city offers a Children’s Museum that is great for those 7 years of age and younger, most locals prefer Sugar Sand Park (located at 300 S Military Trail).1 This attraction is large in size and features a museum-like science exhibit area in which proves to be highly educational for children of all ages. Furthermore, Sugar Sand hosts a spot for children to enjoy the water and take a ride on the carousel. Coconut Cover Waterpark is great for teenagers, as well as children and adults. Here you can take off down one of the multiple slides or play in the children’s water playground. This area hosts Palm Family Theatre and Regal Cinemas Shadowood, two places to get out of the sun and enjoy a nice relaxing theatrical performance or film. Regardless of your family’s preference, this town has a place for your entertainment. Boca Raton Community High and Hammock Pointe Elementary are two of the local public school choices available to your children and teens. In terms of private schools, Academic High and the Children’s Learning Center are two of the multiple options within the city limits.

Family Promise provides shelter and support services to individuals who are in need. Individuals and congregations have joined together to organize this effort to serve the disadvantaged families and help them become independent again. Call 561-265-3370 for more information.4 There are numerous students in Boca Raton who are taking care of members of their families while they are attending school. Missing school and struggling to succeed while assisting family members is a harsh reality for many of these individuals. The American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) seeks to assist these students through research, education, and services that provide a more advantageous future for them.
