About Winnipeg, MB

Winnipeg is exposed to numerous weather systems. Winnipeg has an extreme humid climate, is noted as the sunshine capital of Canada, and deemed to be the coldest city in the world enjoying four distinct seasons.  February 5, 2007 recorded a temperature of minus 41.7 degrees Celsius which was the coldest day in 25 years. Situated in the Bread-Basket-of-the-World, agriculture is a highly regulated industry.  Challenges facing the crop growing is drought, a collapse in commodity prices and future climate changes.  Winnepeg counseling is a process of growth through positive change.

Winnipeg does not have freeways within its urban limits. The Perimeter Highway was built in 1969 which provides an expressway around the city.  Travelers can bypass the city when driving the Trans Canada Highway from east or west having an uninterrupted journey through the province.  Transit within the city is entirely with diesel buses.  Rapid transit has been explored but not initiated to date.  The most common religion here is Christian.  Counselling Winnnipeg, Manitoba is a collaborative and restorative process for individuals to find new hope and purpose in life.  Winnipeg’s airport is currently under redevelopment and a new terminal building will be completed by 2009.  This was Canada’s first international airport in 1929.
