Winnipeg is exposed to numerous weather systems. Winnipeg has an extreme humid climate, is noted as the sunshine capital of Canada, and deemed to be the coldest city in the world enjoying four distinct seasons.  February 5, 2007 recorded a temperature of minus 41.7 degrees Celsius which was the coldest day in 25 years.
