Lansing, Michigan is home to many attractions designed for families with children and teenagers in mind. The Michigan State University Museum is a relatively popular attraction consisting of three levels of exhibits ranging from dinosaurs to world cultures.1 By planning a day trip to the location, a family will have access to a highly educational attraction geared toward children. Located between two popular children-friendly attractions is a two-mile trail with a scaled down version of the solar system, known as Planet Walk. This trail contains educational lessons on the sun and the planets, as well as each one's location from the sun. Feel free to grab your family and take this educational two-mile hike as you venture from one great attraction to another. At one end, Potter Park Zoo is opened all year and features over 400 animals from across the world. The area surrounding zoo also offers many amenities for entertaining children such as an animal petting area and pony rides. At the other end, Impression 5 Science Center is an interactive, hand-on science attraction in which children of all ages can explore concepts such as electricity and magnetism.
