Few cities on earth offer the amenities and excitement as Manhattan, New York. Whether you live in Manhattan or are just visiting, a double-decker bus tour of the city's primary neighborhoods is an exciting and informative way to see the city from the Financial District to Times Square to Chinatown and Midtown. If culture is what you're looking for, you're in the right place. Shakespeare in the Park is a great way to introduce your little ones to the theater, and even better, it's free in Central Park! Another great free event is Harlem Week, where music, food, and festivals celebrate the city's rich history and culture. If it's time for you and your spouse to have a night out, consider heading to Chelsea, where an abundance of clubs, restaurants, and galleries await.1 There is surely something for every member of the family in Manhattan.

Current Initiatives

The Coordinated Children's Services Initiative is an ongoing effort by all five of New York City's boroughs to develop a comprehensive system of care for the city's mentally ill children. Working with the Citywide Oversight Committee and city councils from the five boroughs, the initiative seeks to organize services for children who display serious and persistent mental illnesses, emotional disturbances, and other behavioral health issues. The initiative also seeks to support the family's role in improving the health of their loved one. Additional details are available by calling 212-254-0333.5
