Mental Health in Waterloo

Waterloo is a city that is located in the Southern part of Ontario, with a population of almost 100,000 people living over its 64 square kilometers.2 It is a city that has seen much progress and has changed drastically over the years. With new health care options, better facilities, and a stronger government leading the people, living conditions have certainly been improved over recent years. Currently, there are many different centers dedicated to mental health and a vast variety of programs that are available to the general public; these include bereavement programs, anger management, suicide prevention, and other things that can help those who are struggling.

Because depression, loss, and anger management can be extreme problems when they are not treated, there are a wide variety of programs specifically dedicated to helping these types of patients, regardless of their financial ability. One of the most important of these programs is the Crisis Services of the Waterloo Region, which works with patients from ages 10 and up. They can be contacted at 519-744-1813.3 You can also find other locations and services through 1-866-531-2600.
