Family Services and Assistance Programs

Family Service Toronto is an organization whose main purpose is to better all areas of Toronto, including North York, by providing its residents with access to many mental health programs. Some programs and services offered by Family Service Toronto in the North York area are parenting classes, programs to aid in the process and healing after a divorce for both parents and children, individual and family counseling, and counseling for domestic violence.3 The Families in Transition, or FIT, program is designed specifically to support families who are dealing with separation and/ or divorce by providing group sessions and education on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout the process.
