The Center of Excellence for Children and Youth Mental Health awarded local agencies grants to provide their citizens with valuable mental health services. CFC received three of those grants, two of which are for their School-Based Mental Health Program (SBMH). This means that, in addition to providing services to children and families in a private clinical setting, much-needed mental health services are also available to children in the schools. The goal of the program is to help children improve behavioral, emotional and academic functioning.⁴
