The organization partners with Habitat for Humanity to provide new homeowners with food so they start off on the right foot in their new home. There are also 22 emergency food pantries throughout the city to serve the immediate needs of those without enough food to eat. Families in rural communities are served by 2nd Harvest's Mobile Food Bank. A Bite 2 Go is a new program that provides weekend food supplies to schoolchildren who depend on free and reduced school meals as their main source of nutrition.
