Why Do We Limit The Number of Therapists Per City?

Answer: We want to ensure therapists listed on our site receive maximum client contacts.

Other commercial internet directories just accept an endless amount of therapists to make money. What this does, of course, is over-saturate the page with therapists, greatly reducing the number of client contacts available to each counsellor. Our passion is for the therapist and maximizing his or her client contacts. Currently our maximum threshold is 10 therapists for the largest cities. Smaller cities have smaller thresholds.

In order to ensure maximum client contacts, we impose strict limits on the number of therapists we allow per city. This ensures that client contacts are not too thinly dispersed. Theravive receives thousands of visitors on a daily basis, many of whom are searching for a therapist to help them. By having too many therapists listed in any given city, client contacts are more spread out. For example, lets say Vancouver BC has 20 therapists listed. So in one week, lets say 20 clients reach out for help. That is 20 client contacts spread out amongst 20 therapists. Any therapist listed in Vancouver may get one contact that week, and be lucky to get two. A therapist that gets two contacts means that there will be at least another therapist who wont get any contacts. Now lets take a look at limits. Take the same situation, except this time Theravive limits Vancouver to 10 therapists. What this means is that instead of being lucky to get 2 contacts that week, and having some therapist get no contacts, every therapist is likely to get at least one, and probably two. By limiting the number of therapists in each city, we ensure that each therapist receives a greater concentration of client contacts.

My City is Full. Will You Ever Open A New Slot?

We open slots only as client demand allows us to. If a city is closed, and that city is receiving enough client visits to warrant opening a new slot, we will do so. We do keep waiting lists so if you want to be on a waiting list when a slot is opened, contact us: contact@theravive.com with your desired city and we will notify you when a slot opens.

Do not wait later to sign up or you may never get the chance.

If you like Theravive, but hesitate to sign up, you may find your city is full.

If you are a therapist and interested in Theravive, waiting too long to join may mean you won't be able to later. Once a city is full, we no longer accept new sign-ups for that city. We do track the total number of client contacts, and only when the total number of client contacts in a given city is large enough to support additional slots will we open a new slot, but we do this only on a case by case basis. Every city on Theravive is first come first serve. A full city means you may have to wait years until a slot becomes available. So if your city has an open slot, and the Theravive service appeals to you, make the investment in your practice now, rather than later.

A Note About the Spelling On Our Site:

Some may have noticed the words "counselor, counsellor, counseling, counselling" on our site. These are not spelling errors. Theravive reaches both Canada and the United States.
