David Hebb is a Registered Social Worker (RSW). David obtained his Masters in Social work (MSW) from University of the Fraser Valley and also obtained his Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Diploma in Child and Youth Care from Thompson Rivers University. He is also a member of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association, with the designation of both Registered Professional Counsellor and Master Practitioner of Counselling Psychology David has over ten years in direct client counselling. Areas of counselling include; Marital and couple counselling, families and youth in crisis, addictions, mental health and grief and loss.
Philosophical underpinnings include working from a strengths based holistic perspective, incorporating motivational interviewing techniques in a non-judgemental, safe and professional setting.
David works in partnership with the client, to identify and work towards identified goals. This is done in a supported therapeutic environment, with an emphasis on personal growth and acceptance. David believes being partners along a path towards optimal wellness and overcoming past difficulties is the key to achieving success and moving towards the place in ones life that brings and contentment.
