Duane Osterlind, LMFT, CSAT

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist in orange county. I have over a decade of experience working with individuals and couples dealing with overwhelming emotions, like anxiety and depression and have help couples overcome infidelity. I have trained with some of the best experts in the field of addiction and trauma. Using my expertise, I also co-founded of the therapy agency Novus Mindful Life Institute and The Novus Relationship Counseling Center.

In a session with me, I collaborate with you to create concrete steps you can take to change your behavior, work on your overwhelming emotions, and find peace in your life.

We will work together to create the best treatment options for your situation. You won’t have to do this alone and you will get the experience I have from working in this field and seeing hundreds of individuals and couples create freedom and peace in their lives.

I work from a tasked based model of behavioral change and at the same time help you understand why your brain is doing what your mind does not want. You will get concrete steps you can take to make your life better. After each session, I will give you some homework you can take with you to work on.

As you move forward with the changes you make, you will create a new life free from the anxiety or depression you are struggling with.

I grew up in South Africa and travel around the world. This has given me a great perspective on life and culture, that I can pass to individuals working with me. I got my masters degree from California State University Long Beach and received my Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist training from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. The premier training in sexual addiction treatment and trauma.

I work with people from all backgrounds and help them overcome anxiety and depression so they can live the life they want.
