My approach to counselling is to create a meaningful connection and a safe space where you can engage in self exploration. In a world of information overload, I try to slow it down and explore inner thoughts that don't always have the opportunity to express themselves.

Maple Ridge is a municipality and suburb of the Greater Vancouver Regional District, nestled with surrounding farmland and  rugged mountains to the north.  The natural beauty of this area attracts plenty of nature lovers throughout the year.  The Golden Ears Mountain and Provincial Park offers mile-high views and recreation year round. The landscape is completed with lakes, streams, meadows and rivers.  Beginning Maple Ridge counselling will start a new path towards personal restoration. Over 100 miles of hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails are enjoyed by outdoor enthusiasts. In 1874 fifty families called the town home. Most were of Finnish culture.  Traditionally, the Katzie and Kwantlen First Nations held territory with scattered villages.

With numerous horse breeding stables, Maple Ridge is known as the horse riding capital of British Columbia.  A growing population of 73,000 people are working largely in agriculature and forestry companies which are private sector employers. Interfor is the largest and they manufacture building materials, yachts and poles.  Traditional crops are not suited to the climate and soil so the agriculture is from berry crops and nurseries generating over $40 million annually. The most common religion in Maple Ridge is Christian.  Counselling Maple Ridge will address and explore situations that hinder growth and development in your life.  The area thrives with the longest growing and frost-free summer in Canada.  In 2009 the area will be linked to Langley and Surrey when construction of the Golden Ears Bridge is completed.  As well, the Pitt River Bridge and interchange which are part of the 2003 Gateway Transportation System will inject the area with goods, services and people.
