Katherine V. Rosemond, LPC, CPC, EMT-B is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Certified Professional Coach (Executive, Business, and Personal) in private practice in Manassas at 8140 Ashton Ave, Suite 100, Manassas, VA 20109.  She has been in private practice since 2003, and has provided mental health and addictions counseling at community agencies, including the Alexandria Community Shelter and Prince William County CSB, for over 25 years.  She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Mary Washington College in 1992, certified as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic since 1993, earned her Masters in Counseling and Development from George Mason University in 2000, and obtained counseling license as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2002.  She has also attended postgraduate courses in counseling at Johns Hopkins University.  She completed requirements to become a Clinical Supervisor for clinical residents working toward their licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor (Commonwealth of Virginia) in August 2009 and began working with clinical residents in September 2009.  She is certified as a professional executive, business, and personal coach through College of Executive Coaching in 2011.  She is currently pursuing her PhD in Human Sciences with a concentration in Organizational Systems at Saybrook University.  Previous experience  includes undergraduate and graduate counseling internships, practicum, and inter-semester work with the U.S. Department of Defense at the Pentagon during her undergraduate years.   She is a member of Northern Virginia Association of Licensed Professional Counselors, American Counseling Association, Virginia Association of Clinical Counselors, the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce, and the Warrenton Greater Chamber of Commerce.  She was a rescue squad member of OWL Volunteer Fire Department at Station 14 in Lakeridge, VA from 1992 – 2008 and served as Lead Emergency Medical Technician on the ambulance for OWL VFD for 16 years.  In 2008 she joined the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad as a Lead EMT-B in Sperryville, VA.  She is a member of the Prince William County Critical Incident Stress Management Team.  With her years of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician and as a clinician, she has developed within her practice a specialization in counseling and coaching public safety workers and military veterans and providing behavioral health and leadership development consulting for public safety organizations.  Her mission is to improve the emotional/mental wellbeing and optimize leadership and team skills of public safety workers and organizations through counseling, consulting, education, leadership and team development coaching, and sharing her expertise with other clinicians and professional coaches to enhance their service of this population.
