About Me...
I provide therapy to Adults, Adolescents, Families and Couples. I hold a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology and a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP).

How Psychotherapy can Help...
Investing in your mental and emotional health is integral to your complete health.
As Richard Taite of Cliffside Malibu and big proponent of behavior change stated, “Not only do successful people not fear therapy, they embrace it .... Psychotherapy is a tool that creates success... it’s something that most everybody should probably try during at least some point in their lives.”

Psychotherapy is different for everyone, it is an interactive process that addresses not just the symptoms but also the causes of your problems. Getting to the cause of your pain is essential to freeing yourself from the past.

The effects of psychotherapy are long-lasting. This is because you’re not only working through your issues, but you’re also developing the tools to help you deal with future problems that arise.

Psychotherapy not only help you understand yourself better but it helps you understand other people. When we hold negative thoughts in without processing them, they become ingrained so that we see the world through that lens; and we make lots of assumptions that may or may not be true. Without the clutter of your own (often mistaken) assumptions, it’s a lot easier to understand others’ intentions and motivations.

Not getting sucked under by life events but instead knowing how to form a game plan to deal with them in a healthy way is key (and it takes a lot of practice). Talking things through with a therapist and reflecting on what feelings are evoked, and why, will lead to a greater understanding of yourself. Only then you may feel freer to think of ways to respond to events in more proactive ways.

If you are struggling and feeling overwhelmed then psychotherapy may be for you.
Facing our fears and doubts can be scary but you don't have to do it alone. I want to help you to live a happier, healthier and lead a more productive life. How do we do that? We work on developing healthier, more effective habits. I will provide a supportive nonjudgmental environment that allows you to talk openly and explore issues you may not have been able to explore or deal with.
When we are done, you will not only have solved the problem that brought you in, but you will have learned new skills so you can better cope with whatever challenges arise in the future.

My Work...
I have extensive training and experience in individual and group psychotherapy. My clinical experience includes several years working in the community, hospitals and government services with adults and adolescents struggling with such issues as: Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Self Esteem,.Trauma, Life Transition, Work Related Stress, and other significant disorders.

I work to help people go from feeling stuck in some area of their lives to achieving their own definition of success. The focus is always to help clients reach their full potential.
