Current Initiatives

COPE is a university-sponsored mental health initiative started in 2008 by students who wanted to help their communities. Although sponsored by McMaster University, participants do not have to be students to benefit from their services. They connect people who are experiencing grief to their local resources. In addition to spouses, they also provide support to those who are grieving the death of a friend, child, sibling or pet. The organization is always looking for volunteers to spread the word, assist with fundraisers and help the community. COPE can be contacted via email on the website's contact page.4
