Ramon Presson View Specialties

One of the most experienced marriage counselors in the state, Dr. Ramon Presson is the most published practicing marriage therapist in Tennessee. After completing his undergraduate degree in psychology at Wake Forest University he completed his Master's Degree in counseling at Florida State University and most recently his PhD in counseling. In 1988 he completed the requirements for clinical certification as a marriage & family therapist (AAMFT, ID # 14399).  Presson is a charter member of AACC ( American Association of Christian Counselors )

Few counselors right out of grad school have the rare opportunity that Presson was given--the chance to work alongside and be mentored by Dr. Gary Chapman, renowned marriage expert and best-selling author of "The Five Love Languages". Ramon later co-authored with Dr. Chapman three books which were recently re-released in 10th anniversary editions. Presson's current book is titled "When Will My Life Not Suck? Authentic Hope for the Disillusioned".   www.lifenotsuck.com

Dr. Presson has also served as an assistant pastor in several large churches in NC, SC, FL, and TN. Ramon counsels with individuals and couples through his private practice LifeChange Counseling Services and the Marriage Center of Franklin, conveniently located in Cool Springs.  An engaging and entertaining speaker, Presson is sought by churches, businesses, and civic organizations for presentations and retreats.

While he takes his work very seriously Presson does not take himself too seriously. A humor columnist for the Williamson Herald newspaper, Presson is a favorite among Facebook friends and Twitter followers needing encouragement and a laugh to lighten the load.

Ramon and his wife Dorrie, a career counselor, have been married for 26 years and have two teenage sons. He secretly loves each of them the most.
