What a privilege to engage with folks as they struggle with the challenges and heartaches of life.  I consider it an honour to listen to their stories of pain, disillusionment and broken dreams. Although I am a Christian counsellor, I engage with individuals and couples from every walk of life and faith tradition.

I have been counselling for most of my life in various settings, as a pastor, in social service settings, and currently in private practice.  I think of my clients as the heroes in the counselling process. I find them to be courageous, resourceful and resilient as they draw on their inner strength to take on the challenges set before them.

I believe that establishing a relationship based on trust, empathy and acceptance is fundamental to a positive counselling experience. We all long for safety, unconditional love, and intimacy.  Only in this environment are we free to be honest and vulnerable, to grow and to heal.
