Summer Gray, MS, LPC, CIRT, is a warm and compassionate therapist, who enjoys working with both individuals and couples. A licensed professional counselor, Summer received a Master's degree in Counseling from Georgia State University and specialized training from Richmont Graduate University in 1989.

Summer has been a licensed professional counselor since 1992. Warm and caring, Summer is known for helping clients feel safe and curious about themselves as they heal and grow. Summer specializes in working with clients experiencing life and relationship difficulties, including depression, divorce, anger, anxiety, loss, grief, parenting issues, and hoarding disorders. She has also worked extensively with survivors of sexual abuse.

Summer works in conjunction with other mental health professionals, including a psychiatrist and certified nurse practitioner. The practice, TMS Centers of Atlanta, strives to provide patients with the latest, safest and most effective medical solutions for the treatment of depressive disorders, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy, a non-invasive, non-systemic form of treatment for depression.

Recently, Summer earned certification as an Imago Relationship Therapist, and is passionate about helping couples reconnect with one another in a safe and compassionate space. Imago is based on the work of Harville Hendrix, Ph.D. and his wife Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D., authors of the bestselling book, Getting The Love You Want: A Guide for Couples, and more recently, Making Marriage Simple: Ten Relationship Saving Truths. Couples therapy can be incredibly beneficial and one of the best financial investments a couple can make. Summer enjoys creating a safe space in her office for couples to be able to really begin to hear each other and make deeper connections. In this space, healing can transform a relationship. Couples can have fun and learn to play together again. Couples sessions are 90 minutes in length, while individual sessions are 50-55 minutes.

Summer's experience includes being an inpatient therapist for Rapha Southeast, where she created and led sexual abuse survivor's groups as well as developing and leading intensive family of origin group therapy. She completed an internship with Atlanta Counseling Center where she received specialized training in working with adult survivor's of sexual abuse, working with both individuals and leading groups. In addition, she brings her own experience of struggle and growth as she and her husband have raised three children and dealt with issues of chronic illness.

Summer enjoys travel, literature, cooking, nature, walking, music and learning to speak French. She is a member of Perimeter Church, has been married for 24 years, and has three wonderful sons. She was born and raised in Florida, attended college in Pennsylvania, and has lived in Atlanta since 1987.
