Vivian believes in the value of the therapeutic relationship and welcomes clients seeking a safe place to talk and be heard when feeling hurt, overwhelmed, stuck or lost. She offers hope and help for living a full, vivid and balanced life. As an integrative therapist, her goal is to help you uncover your true potential so that your life is joyfully authentic.

Vivian is a licensed professional counselor specializing in individual, couples, family and group therapy. She also offers clinical and licensure supervision.  She maintains a private practice in Wayne. Vivian has experience working as a psychotherapist in a mental health clinic and is comfortable treating many diagnoses including depression, anxiety, bipolar, relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss.  Her approach to therapy is integrative and flexible, tailored to meet your specific needs. Using complementary approaches and techniques such as Psychodynamic, Contextual, Gestalt, Existential, Cognitive-Behavioral when appropriate, she will work with you to unearth longstanding behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing life fully.

In Couples and Family therapy, her areas of focus include: Trust Building, Healthy Boundaries, Open Communication, Individual and Relational Growth, Marriage and Family Conflict/Crisis, Transitional Stages. Working through Grief/ Loss/ Trauma, Vivian aligns with clients  in a safe empathic relationship to facilitate healing. Depression and unhealthy relationship patterns are closely connected. Vivian works with clients to change these patterns. In treating Anxiety, Vivian helps clients uncover underlying causes,  develop effective coping strategies, regain a sense of empowerment and live a calm, balanced and fulfilling life.  


Therapy may be short term to help you understand and resolve present challenges or transitional life changes. Or you may want extended therapy to explore deeper psychological patterns. Vivian offers compassion and understanding in working with each individual to build on inherent strengths and to attain self-defined personal growth. 
 
In addition to psychotherapy, Vivian's experience includes LPC and university intern supervision, collaborating in therapeutic research for the University of Pennsylvania and college teaching. She holds an MS from Chestnut Hill College, an MA from Villanova University and a Pennsylvania Department of Education Professional Certificate. She took additional training in Family and Marital Therapy at Child Guidance Center of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
