Whether the main issue is a lack-luster marriage or partnership, desire discrepancy, infidelity, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, interpersonal problems, obsessive-compulsive thinking and behaviors, or substance abuse, her approach centers on helping clients access and utilize their strengths while decreasing self-sabotaging behaviors. Alicia has experience treating trauma survivors in a city hospital as well as individuals with co-morbid disorders.

Treatment Modalities

Alicia helps her clients become better educated about their individual and relational survival strategies through the latest research as well as helping clients tune in to their own untapped wisdom, spiritual resources, and inner felt sense. She draws from a variety of therapies, including Imago Therapy, AEDP, sex therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and body-oriented therapies such as Focusing and Eastern mindfulness practices. Clients learn to navigate challenging situations and find appropriate solutions that make it possible to enjoy life more fully. Priority is given to experiencing emotions in a safe context.
