Rybicki is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She holds a Master’s Degree in
Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University and works as an
individual, couples and family therapist. Ali works with a variety of clients
from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Ali specializes in treating anxiety and depression, supporting her clients in working through transitions and challenges including relationship conflict, disillusionment in marriage, divorce, and loss. She utilizes John Gottman's Method: Seven Principle's for Making Marriage Work and offers a dialectical behavioral therapeutic approach (DBT) to work with individuals and couples who are experiencing challenges in their relationships by teaching them how to improve communication, resolve conflict, rebuild trust, increase intimacy and passion within the relationship, and family planning. She helps clients through separation and divorce by empowering them, focusing on their strengths, helping them work through overwhelming emotions by teaching them valuable skills to build up their tolerance to stress, and how to set realistic, attainable goals. She also provides private parenting sessions to assist parents with positive parenting, co-parenting, and building and maintaining healthy relationships.
In addition to working with adults, her experience also includes working with children, adolescents and teenagers suffering with anxiety, depression and emotional control. She provides Dialectical Behavior therapeutic strategies (DBT) to helps kids and teens learn how to express their emotions in a healthy way, manage anger, work through bullying, make new friends, address school refusal, increase motivation, and work through phobias. Further, she helps her clients increase self-esteem, work through past history of abuse and neglect, and move forward after dealing with grief and loss.
In addition to offering DBT, Ali uses a variety of supportive, evidence-based and psycho-educational therapeutic strategies to assist clients in identifying, disputing and re-framing irrational thoughts as well as looking at challenging situations from different perspectives. She is an open-minded, active listener who helps assist clients in creating individualized goals based on their needs.
