More about Me
I appreciate the simple things in life and value family, friendships, acts kindness, and nature. I love sports, music, and photography and strive to live a healthy and balanced life, nurturing all the dimensions of my being—body, mind, spirit, and social connections.
My Approach to Therapy
In a caring and supportive way, I approach each person who comes to me for counseling with a deep sense of reverence and respect! My primary goal is to create a welcoming environment in which you feel safe, comfortable, and accepted for who you are; this is essential for effective therapy.
I believe each individual is a unified whole. In therapy sessions, I view each person as a whole rather than just focusing on their isolated parts, such as feelings or behaviors. While I recognize the individuality and uniqueness of each person’s needs, problems, and concerns, I address issues with the whole person in mind, taking into account all the dimensions of human life: physical, mental, emotional, and relational. Thus, my ultimate goal in therapy is to facilitate growth into wholeness and harmonious integration.
Hence, symptoms are viewed as signs that point to something in us that needs our listening and care. So rather than focusing solely on removing or treating the so-called "problems," my approach honors the whole person in their longing for connection, meaning, and depth, as well as their desire for positive change, joy, and a balanced and abundant life. In other words…fully human and fully alive.
At some point in the life of many couples, they feel stuck in cycles of negative interactions that keep drifting them apart, robbing them of the dream of happiness they yearn for and the intimate connection they once felt. Therapy focuses on restoring the emotional bond between partners/spouses and creating new patterns of positive interactions between them that redefine the relationship and bring them closer together. This process is a journey from isolation and loneliness to an intimate connection and loving relationship. It's on the basis of this secure love that partners can effectively work through their conflicts, disagreements, and differences long into their futures together.
