I came to practicing psychotherapy quite late in life, after many years of various professional endavours, life and cultural experiences that enriched my knowledge of and deepened my sensitivity to people, their needs, their yearnings (basically very similar in every culture though sometimes expressed differently.) I became a licensed Marriage, Family and Child therapist in the early '90's. I went back to graduate school to obtain a doctorate degree in clinical psychology some years later.
My clinical experience has encompassed a wide range of people and special interests: pre- and neonatal psychology, attachment issues, family of origin issues, issues specifically related to women's lives, HIV, life threatening illness, grief and loss, as well as spiritual growth and development. Working primarily from the Jungian perspective (honoring images received from our unconscious), I combine creative processes with psychotherapy, weaving my work with a variety of traditions, including dreamwork, self expression through art making, and holistic approach to health.
With a solid psychological background steeped in spirituality, I have a profound respect for the complexity of our psyches and the difficult journey one needs to take to achieve wholeness. I strive to create a safe, supportive and therapeutic space in which healing, self-understanding and self-transformation can occur.
