I offer counseling that combines compassion, common sense, and clinical
expertise. Whether you want to address a specific problem or improve
your overall quality of life, we can work together to help you find
both short-term relief and long-term solutions.
My approach is tailored to fit individual needs. I am guided by the
cognitive-behavioral model, which looks at the connection between
thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Concepts and techniques from other
theoretical perspectives are integrated as appropriate. I advocate care
for the whole person--body, mind, and spirit. Christian counseling is available upon request.
Although I see clients from all walks of life, I specialize in working
with military veterans and their families. I provide assistance with
pre-deployment preparation, coping with separation and loss, combat
trauma, and adjusting to civilian life and/or life after combat. As an
expression of gratitude to those who have served our country, military
veterans and TRICARE beneficiaries receive a 20% discount on all
services. In addition, I partner with an organization that is often
able to cover most (if not all) of the cost of therapy for Iraq and
Afghanistan veterans and their families.
When choosing a mental health professional, it is important to find
someone who is a good fit for your needs and personality. For a free
phone consultation, please call 817.404.7999. I am happy to answer your
questions and determine how I can be of help. Day, evening, and weekend appointments are available.
