    Professional Qualifications
  • I am an Individual, Couple & Family Counsellor, and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), which is the highest level of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
  • I am the founder and director of the Ontario Sexual Addiction Centre. I am a fully trained Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), registered with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) - founder: Dr. Patrick Carnes. I am additionally trained by Dr. Stefanie Carnes in the women partners' recovery. 
  • I am a trained Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) with the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). I was trained by Dr. Susan Johnson, "The best couple therapist in the world" according to bestselling relationship expert Dr. John Gottman.
  • I am a professional member of The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Therapy (SAST).
  • I am a certified Family Mediator of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM) & author of the Imagine Program for separating families.

  • Secondary school teacher and organizer of an International Co-operative Education semester abroad program of community service in Thailand, Indonesia, Venezuela and Paraguay for over 100 grade 11 and 12 Canadian high school students.
  • Co-Director of one of the largest International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies operations since the Second World War during the famine in Sudan of 1985.
