Etobicoke based Carly Clifton is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists (OACCPP). Her clinical experience includes individual therapy and support to adolescents with autism, social anxiety, and developmental disorders, as well as support to adults with Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, relationship issues, trauma/PTSD, self-esteem issues, eating disorders, personality disorders (specifically Borderline Personality Disorder), substance abuse/addictions, and schizophrenia. She has extensive experience and expertise in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Talk Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Carly also specializes in Family Therapy

Carly received her Master’s degree in Psychology from Queen Mary, University of London in the United Kingdom. She was an Assistant Psychologist with the Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Team at East London NHS Foundation Trust, where she provided assessment and psychotherapy/counselling to individuals experiencing psychosis and diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Carly has also been a member of two separate clinical teams at Toronto’s renowned Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She first worked in the Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic, providing support for the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy groups, conducting research, and assisting in ongoing clinical projects. She then worked in the Child, Youth, and Family Services Program as a Research Analyst, supporting projects with Health Canada on Youth with Addictions and Concurrent Disorders. In addition, Carly was a Group Therapist for individuals with loved ones who suffer from substance abuse and addiction at The Jean Tweed Centre.
