Do you feel like your life is spinning out of control; and that no one in your life understands what you are going through? Are you struggling with relationship/marriage issues? There really is no need to procrastinate any longer when help is around the corner.

As your neighborhood therapist, I provide counseling services for women, men, couples, teens and children for issues such as depression, anxiety, marriage/couples problems, self-esteem, parenting, grief, abuse, anger problems, and life transitions. My clients find me like-able and come to feel at ease with my humor and outgoing nature.

Unlike many therapists, I work full-time as a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides convenient hours, 5 days a week (Monday through Thursday, daytime and evenings, and Saturday mornings). I am not distracted by another job and can give you the care and attention that you need. I really have made a difference in people's lives!

My approach to counseling is cognitive-behavioral and involves unconditional, positive regard toward my clients and will focus on healthy thinking patterns. I am also trained in EMDR therapy which helps clients who are dealing with traumatic issues from the past.

Searching for a therapist can be a very difficult task. After all, how does a person like yourself, who is seeking therapy, come to feel comfortable and confident enough to overcome the apprehensiveness about making that initial contact with a therapist?

As your neighborhood therapist, I believe my website provides further information you need to feel comfortable knowing that I provide the professional counseling services you deserve.

Diamond Counseling is a trusted name in the community. My office is located in a beautiful, professional, easy-to-find office park setting at Hampden and Wadsworth. It would be exciting to hear from you today!

MY FEES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

A one hour individual counseling session is $120.
A 90-minute couples counseling session or any session involving two or more people is $220.
(I conduct minimum 90-minute sessions for couples because I found through experience that 1-hour sessions do not provide enough time in dealing with the complexities and/or emotions of couples issues. My clients usually need and want the extra time to "air-out" issues rather than postpone them for another week or two; and are willing to concentrate their therapy costs sooner rather than spread them out for a later time.)

Even though I do not process insurance, you may still be able to obtain some reimbursement from your insurance provider for your therapy sessions with me; similar to what some of my other clients are already doing. Once a month I can provide a general statement that you can submit along with your insurance company's reimbursement request forms. In most cases I am considered an out-of-network provider.

MY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND IS AS FOLLOWS:

Ph.D in Christian Counseling, Northwestern Theological Seminary, 2012. Christian counseling is available upon request.
M.A. in Community Counseling, University of Phoenix-Lone Tree Campus, 2005.
B.A. in Business Management, University of Phoenix-Lone Tree Campus, 1997.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I started my career in the corporate world as a sales and marketing consultant, While working for a corporation, I pursued and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. After 6 years of working in the corporate world, I switched careers to work in the non-profit industry for the next 7 years. My non-profit experience involved business development, counseling, business leader networking, volunteer coordination, and various other leadership roles. This experience impacted me so much that I decided to pursue further education and graduate with a Masters degree in Counseling. Thus, my career as a licensed professional counselor began. I then furthered my education by obtaining a Ph.D in Christian Counseling.

I have owned a thriving private counseling practice for over 10 years. Through my life experiences, I believe I can easily identify with and understand your life issues. I can provide you with therapy that can give you direction needed to go from a place of being stuck to a place of making progress.
