Established in 2008, the Latina A.R.M.Y. is a non-profit that aims at assisting young Latinas in the United States.² Through its workshops, the organization aims at reducing the rate of attempted suicide, female high school drop outs, and teen pregnancy among Latinas. The Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) offers talented youth aged 5-17 with a number of programs both during summer and the school year.⁶ For summer, SIG provides three-week Day Programs and Residential/Computer/Extended Computer Programs.
