Counselling can be the catalyst for change. By using your past as a source of strength for your future, you can evolve and grow into being the best you can be.  Counselling can be the connection that moves you toward the happy and healthy life you deserve.

At First Light Counselling you'll find a supportive, safe and non-judgmental environment where you can talk openly and confidentially about your concerns and feelings. Together we can help you find new ways for coping and living fully that will help you move forward psychologically, emotionally and spiritually.

I believe that counselling is a collaborative effort wherein you and I bring our skills, knowledge and insights to resolve your conflicts. I am a dedicated professional and committed to providing quality counselling. For me each individual is valued for their uniqueness and acknowledging one's past, present, beliefs and values allows for the building of hopes and dreams.

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC#1580) and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC#3547). I have a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University. I also have a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Spanish from the University of BC.

I offer a professional, faith-based counselling and educational service to children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families. I do not presume that all clients want or will be receptive to a Christian perspective in counselling. As the client, you have the opportunity to decide whether you wish this to be part of your therapy. However, having a faith-based practice affords anyone the opportunity to bring any and all faiths into the counselling session should they so desire.

My counselling experience over the last few years has connected me with clients of diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences. I have worked in community agencies providing therapy to individuals dealing with issues such as mental health, substance abuse and general personal and relationship concerns. I have also worked as a counsellor in a private men's treatment centre for addiction on the West Coast of British Columbia.
