Chris Stravitsch, LPC, LMFT, is the Executive Director and Founder of Rejoice Counseling Apostolate. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He earned a dual degree in Pastoral Counseling from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, which consisted of a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy (2006) and M.A. in Pastoral Ministry (2007). While studying at Texas A&M University he earned a B.A. in Psychology (2003). He holds membership in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and he is currently a Doctor of Ministry Candidate at The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., where he has focused his research on the spiritual formation of couples and families.
 
Chris oversees the counseling services that Rejoice Counseling Apostolate provides to Catholic parishes and the general public throughout the Greater Houston area and San Antonio. He offers pastoral counseling services onsite at multiple churches, along with the other professional counselors and marriage and family therapists from Rejoice. Their goal is to journey with you to joy!

Aside from counseling, Chris serves as the Founding Vice President for the St. John Paul II Foundation, a national Catholic apostolate dedicated to proclaiming the gospel of life and forming families as intimate communities of love. He is as an adjunct faculty member of the Institute for Priestly Formation in Omaha, Nebraska, where he at times teaches in the Spiritual Formation for Diocesan Seminarians summer program. From 2006-2014 he served on the Formation Faculty of Assumption Seminary in San Antonio, where he was Director of Collegians, a Formation Advisor, and facilitated seminarian formation groups on the virtues, prayer, and human sexuality.
