Darcy is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (R.C.C.) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, and is a Registered Social Worker (R.S.W.) with the BC Social Worker Board of Registration.
Darcy holds a specialty as a qualified and trained Art Therapist, having graduated from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute (VATI).
Darcy’s practise is located in Langley. She offers counselling to children, teens and adults. Darcy has experience working with children, teens and adults in community agencies, government agencies, health care settings in in-patient as well as out patient settings, in addition to private practise. She is also an instructor at the Vancouver Art therapy Institute.

Darcy upholds a holistic perspective when working with clients, looking comprehensively at the many facets and viewpoints of people’s lives/situations in order to focus on achieving balance and overall health and wellness. Darcy’s fundamental belief is that all people have a natural tendency and innate ability to heal and believes that everyone has the ability to grow and change.
Darcy works collaboratively with clients to determine what their needs are develops a plan to assist clients in achieving what they want with their emotional health. She discusses with her clients the modalities that she feels will be the most appropriate for their situation and goals. Skills, tools, knowledge, reflections and guidance are offered to promote change in thoughts and behaviours, moving toward overall wellness. She considers her role and responsibility as a therapist is to create a place of safety, to be non judgemental and accepting of clients and their situations; she encourages clients to explore and express themselves and to more toward emotional health.
The therapy space offers an art studio section, as well as space for various play therapy supplies and a comfortable talking space.
