Trained in psychology (
Ph.D. from Cornell
University), Dr. David Ransen has mastered
numerous areas of psychology and human development during
his 30-year career. He also earned an
M.S.
degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from
Nova Southeastern University, the only
fully-accredited program in all of Florida. Dr. Ransen
earned his psychology
Bachelors degree with
honors from
Clark University, the
nation’s first graduate school, and the first to
award a doctor’s degree in psychology. He is board certified in clinical hypnosis and hypnotherapy in Florida and elsewhere.
Teaching has
always been one of his passions, and he has taught
psychology at five universities, including
Tulane
University,
The Harvard Medical
School, and
Cornell University. He has published numerous articles in some of the world's
most prestigious professional journals, as well as informal
pieces in popular publications including the
New
York Times and
ScientificAmerican. He is an active member in good
standing of the
International Hypnosis Research
Institute, the
American Association of Marriage and
Family Therapists, and a member for many years of the
American Psychological Association. Dr. Ransen was
trained in individual and relationship counseling by master
therapists known and respected worldwide.
