I offer thoughtful and compassionate psychotherapeutic services.  With both support and encouragement, I challenge people to address concerns that interfere with their life satisfaction.

Are you troubled by anxiety, depression or other emotional concerns?

Are you struggling with past or current difficulties?

Are you stuck and unable to break unhealthy patterns of relating to others?

My expertise may help you find relief in these areas and more.

Whether you wish to come alone, or bring your partner for couples therapy, you are always welcome to be yourself in my office.

I will actively engage with you to fully understand the challenges you face and craft an approach that will help you address them. Together we will explore possibilities for you to live your life more effectively.

APPROACH TO PSYCHOTHERAPY IN A SAFE AND TRUSTING RELATIONSHIP:

I will collaborate with you to design a therapy that works best.

I will actively engage with you to develop skills and grieve past hurts, and I will encourage you to become more effective living life in a meaningful way.

I will support you with living in a way that is more true to your nature, allowing you to make clear choices and effectively achieve your goals.

I will actively participate in addressing your stumbling blocks to living as fully as you can.

BASED ON 25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

I develop treatment strategies tailored to each individual’s needs.

I draw from both Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral therapies.

I OFFER INDIVIDUAL AND COUPLES THERAPY FOR:

• Anxiety

• Depression

• Creative Blocks

• Grief

• Relationships

• Sense of Self

• Trauma

Psychotherapy can help you break outmoded habits that may interfere with living your life fully. Being mindful, you can learn from the past, uncover cast-off parts of yourself and work through sticky challenges and unproductive patterns of thinking and behavior in present day life. In psychotherapy you can learn to undo long-standing, maladaptive behaviors or negative perceptions that stand in the way of a more rich and meaningful life.

Growth and change in psychotherapy can lead to improved relationships, a sense of well-being, an enhanced sense of self, reduction of painful and unwanted symptoms, and career satisfaction. Again, I will actively participate in addressing your stumbling blocks to living as fully as you can.

As Nelson Mandela said, “There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
