I'm a clinical psychologist and partner with ARCH Psychological Services with 30+ years professional experience in mental health and community psychology practice to the assessment and treatment of psychological health concerns, psycho-legal issues in family law, civil litigation and criminal cases - particularly the assessment and treatment of complex matters involving psychopathology, personality, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress, and sexual abuse. If you found my profile you are looking to talk to someone who can help... I have been working with people who are overcoming significant or complex difficulties they experience, improving their relationships, changing themselves.... More and more the focus of my work is with people who experience challenges that are more complex, longstanding or have been very difficult to resolve.... When you're ready, we can work together in safety and trust... striving to assess more thoroughly and go more deeply toward the greater understanding, meaningful change and healing you seek. My work with you is founded on my belief that each individual holds great value, potential and is challenged to grow and thrive - to be fully and uniquely themselves - healthy, loving, contributing. Trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, painful life experiences can block growth... psychotherapy can unblock and fortify individuals' own efforts to heal and grow... live life with joy and meaning. I work together with each person, respecting values and honouring experiences.  The work of the psychologist is simply to help people understand themselves more fully, and make intentional choices on their own path towards becoming more healthy and fulfilled in themselves and in their relationships with others. A bit more about myself... In addition to my clinical work I also provide clinical supervision to psychologists qualifying for registration in Alberta. I have served as President of the Psychologists Association of Alberta; Chair of the Alberta Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health, and as a director of numerous community boards. For almost two decades I taught as an adjunct faculty member at the Loma Linda University Graduate School. I've been honoured to receive recognition for my work: Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, CMHA Alberta Professional Care Award and National Distinguished Service Award. In addition to my registration as a psychologist, I am a member of the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, a Diplomate of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of other professional associations.  Closer to home I am married to Stasia, also a psychologist and we have an adult daughter.
Now that you know something about me I hope it will be easier to take the next step step to contact me...
