In Christian Counseling, I can help you discover how your faith can be an asset on your journey of change - as an individual or a couple.

My approach with you begins by establishing a connection in which you feel truly heard and accepted. The goal is for my office to become a safe, judgment-free setting in which you can explore the roots of your struggle, as well as identify your personal values and strengths. Together we’ll map out a journey of change that’s consistent with your unique strengths and individual values. In this way, counseling becomes your doorway to healthy change.

I work with Christian and non-Christian clients, and uniquely tailor therapy to the individual. I received my M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, where I learned to integrate Christian faith with the tools of psychology. Prior to graduate school, I worked for six years as a discipleship counselor for women in a local Christian ministry. From that experience, I learned that human problems are often complicated and effective solutions are unique.

I've been married for 26 years, and have two children: one in high school and one in college. Before pursuing a career in counseling, I was a stay-at-home mom. Prior to that, I worked as an actuary for a national auto insurer. Along my journey, I’ve experienced many of the struggles and stresses that my clients face.
