Expert help for addiction, intense emotions, and relationship issues.

The core of the work we do at Healing Paths, Inc. is centered around helping our clients to thrive in relationships after they have "gotten their own houses in order."  Human beings are wired to do best in close, connected, safe, relationships and many people feel the intense pain of disconnection and dissatisfaction with their current relationships.  Being in an active addiction only heightens that pain for both parties.

We have witnessed many of our clients over the years work through some of their hurts caused by previous relationships to find satisfaction, safety and belonging in the relationships they are already a part of.

Healing Paths, Inc. was founded in 2011 by Jackie Pack, LCSW, CSAT-S, CMAT after she spent nearly 15 years working with individuals and couples healing from addiction and abuse.  The clinic was founded on the understanding that individual struggles are complex and often require more than a one-angle approach.  At Healing Paths, we are uniquely equipped to do great work for individuals, couples, and families.  We specialize in treating issues related to addiction, intimacy disorders, marriage problems, and healing from trauma.

Our staff is expertly cross trained in these areas.  Each of our therapists has trained with the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) and has either completed or is completing Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Training (CSAT)- the gold standard in addiction treatment.  This allows our therapists to expertly assess and plan cutting edge treatments to not only help you stop the addictive behavior but to work on building a life of meaning and recovering from the wreckage of addiction.

Our CSAT therapists are trained to help the partners and family members of addicts to do the healing they need after discovering a loved one's addiction and living through years of trauma and heartbreak.   Every day, we help partners and family members of addicts start to piece their lives together and to feel that they are getting solid ground under their feet.

Many of our therapists are trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)- a clinically proven method for effectively and quickly treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other issues related to getting stuck in the intense feelings of past events.  Your treatment can either focus on utilizing EMDR to start freeing yourself from the pain that is a carry-over from the past or your traditional talk therapy can be supplemented with EMDR to help when you are needing to process intense emotions and memories in a safe, effective, and fast way.

We utilize the approach to marriage and relationship therapy developed by Dr's John and Julie Gottman of the Gottman Institute.  This ground-breaking approach to healing relationships gets right to the heart of what is driving disconnection and provides powerful tools for healing relationship ruptures.
