Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor whose work is grounded in her faith in Jesus Christ. She has over twenty years of experience counseling children, teens, adults, couples and families. She finds great fulfillment and joy in walking alongside hurting people on their journey of healing.

Heather’s counseling experience has been diverse, including community, school, church and private practice settings. Her training includes a masters degree in clinical counseling from Eastern University and is a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor.  In addition, she is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified Grief Specialist.

Heather’s areas of expertise include a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, obsessive-compulsive disorder, codependency, identity issues, parenting struggles, coping with a spouse's sexual addiction and questions of faith. Heather has specified training in methods effective for trauma, including progressive counting, EMDR & Internal Family Systems.  Heather has also worked extensively with children and teens on a myriad of issues and has taken specific training in the methods of counseling that are most effective with them.

Heather has been married for over twenty five years and has four children. In addition, Heather and her husband have been foster parents. Her husband has served on staff at several churches, so she understands the stresses of balancing parenting, ministry and work roles.  In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time outdoors, or by the fire when it is too cold.  She treasures time with her family and always has way too many books she wants to read.
