COUNSELING and SERVICES

I have over 20 years experience in helping individuals with career assessment, transition planning, job search strategies, action plans and workplace adjustment. I counsel and coach clients at all levels and in all types of work settings and provide outplacement to organizations.  My clients range from corporate to non profit executives, mid-level managers, attorneys,educators, high tech workers, artists, writers and human and health care professionals. I also work with students and recent college grads. I have an office in Philadelphia and Jenkintown and also counsel clients all over the country via phone, skype and email.

EXPERIENCE

Prior to founding Career Visions, I worked in career development at Bryn Mawr College and the University of Pennsylvania. As Associate Director of Career Services at the University of Pennsylvania, I designed and administered career programs, developed internet resources and provide career counseling and advice on employment trends and job search strategy for students and alumni of the College of Liberal Arts and the Wharton School. I created and led the "Wharton Career Discovery" seminar, a program that continues today and served as a liaison to recruiters from major corporations. I also advised internet users nationwide regarding their career interests at US News and World Report's Education and Career Forum. I have taught career development courses at the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate course at Chestnut Hill College in the Counseling Psychology division. One of the highlights of my career was serving as one of the delegates for the National Career Development Association through People to People Ambassador Program in China.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

I currently provide training and coaching to emerging women leaders in non profits through the Valentine Foundation in Philadelphia. I was a monthly guest on CN8's Morning show and am quoted frequently on Monster.com and other publications and websites. I served as President for the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Career Professionals International and currently serve on the advisory board of the local chapter of Dress for Success.  I hold an MS in Counseling from the University of Rochester and am a National Certified Counselor and certified in both Myers Briggs and Strong Interest inventories.
