Jeff Packer MSW, RSW, RPJeff is happily married
to Susan, his loving wife since 1986. They have three young adult children. Jeff obtained his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto in 1991, specializing in clinical individual,
couple/marital and group counselling, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in
Psychology & Sociology from York University (1989). Over the past twenty five years Jeff has provided
professional counselling, life coaching and psychotherapy services in his
private practice, with the Charles H. Best Diabetes Centre, Whitby Mental
Health Centre, Durham Family Court Clinic, Catholic Family Services and the
John Howard Society. In addition, he has attended extensive training programs on marriage and family therapy, diabetes & treatment adherence, trauma and recovery, eating disorders, abuse & domestic
violence, criminal behaviour and rehabilitation, parenting and parent-child
behavioural adjustment, sexuality, substance misuse/addictions and separation
and divorce adjustment. He is active in the development, training and delivery of in-service training and workshops for overcoming anxiety and depression, parenting, overcoming anxiety and depression, emotional expression and enhancement of romantic relationships.
Along with training masters students in his clinical practice, Jeff has provided in-service training across Canada and has taught counselling skills, social work and human relations training at local colleges. He also provides clinical supervision, consultation, mental health and team building services for the corporate sector. .Jeff is a registered social worker with the OCSWSSW and has been a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers and Canadian Association of Social Workers since 1991. He is also a registered psychotherapist and member of the College of Registered Pychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
He spends his down time camping, playing soccer, hockey and guitar with a bit of time for art and cooking😎
