I am a Master's level mental health therapist, offering individual and group counseling for adults. Drawing from a number of perspectives, I work primarily from a relational style of therapy, drawing on psychodynamic and family systems orientations. I believe our relationships, both early in life and into the present, are our most formative experiences. They are most likely the places we have experienced our greatest joys and deepest woundings. As we work together to address the issues that have brought you to therapy, we will explore these relationships and how you have come to the ways in which you express both your dignity and your areas of struggle. I have seen such hopeful change and restoration in many people's lives, including my own, through involvement in the therapeutic process.
I received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln. After working for several years as a mentor and coach
to students in a non-profit setting, I returned to school and received
a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies from the University of
Central Florida, focusing on issues of domestic violence, human
trafficking and other women’s social issues. I then completed my
Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Mars Hill Graduate School
in Seattle, WA. I am currently a
licensed-eligible Mental Health Therapist, registered in the state of
Washington (#00058996).
I offer a free 30-minute consultation. The decision to seek help is a courageous one! I welcome the chance to meet with you and to answer any questions you might have.
