Do you experience difficulty managing conflict in your relationship? Maybe one of you has trouble managing anger, or emotional reactivity in general, or you withdraw during conflict. Maybe it's time to re-light the flame. Perhaps parenting struggles, particularly with teenagers, are wearing you out. Or, you cannot agree on parenting techniques, and the conflict about that is wearing you out.

Maybe substance abuse is hurting you or a loved one, and you want help addressing it.

I have 30+ years experience helping couples develop practical, long lasting solutions for relationship, parenting, substance abuse and individual issues.

I can also help you deal effectively with co-parenting issues related to divorce, and show you and your former partner how to achieve parenting cooperation.

I am licensed as an Marriage and Family Therapist in California, and have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

I completed my post-doctoral internship at Stanford University Department of Psychiatry in the mid-80's.

I am interactive with clients, and generally approach people with the assumption any individual possesses a multitude of strengths which can be built on as they face the issues they are in counseling to address.

I have been married since 1981, and have two you adult children in college.  If you'd like to know how to make the teenage years the coolest, most fun years with your kids, let me now.  I'll show you how.
