Joan Guest made a mid-life career change to be able to do the counseling she loves. She received her Masters of Social Work from the George Williams College of Social Work at Aurora University and her Bachelor’s Degree in philosophy from Gordon College in Massachusetts. She has done post-graduate work in geriatric social work and has achieved certification in Imago Relationship Therapy, a specialized form of couple's work. Married 36 years, Joan has a heart for couples who are struggling with relationship issues. She also enjoys working with parents of teens children with ADHD, engaged couples, adult children of dysfunctional families, those suffering from depression and anxiety, and caregivers of older adults. Joan is the author of two small books, Self-Esteem and Forgiving Your Parents, and was an editor of Christian books for 20 years.
