Current Initiatives

The Allen Independent School District is leading the state in an initiative to address bullying in schools. In Allen, as in all of Texas, there is more recognition of the impact of social media and Internet culture on the youth and families. New ways of teaching children how to deal with disclosing information online, and safeguards against bullying are being put in place in Allen ISD through their Anti-Bullying Program. Students are taught to recognize bullying and are given tools to help diffuse such situations. Reporting incidents has also been improved, with online reporting now available to students and parents.
