Landor has been a registered psychologist in the Province of Alberta since 1984. His educational background is varied (theology, human ecology, psychology and education) and reflected in his interdisciplinary, integrative, and humanistic approach to the practice of psychology. Before becoming a psychologist Landor had formal training and experience as a Pastoral Counsellor with a specialization in marriage and family therapy. Counselling, for Landor, is concerned with "helping others in their becoming" (Bruno Bettelheim). The goal of counselling is to "attend to the client - accompany them; supporting, facilitating and participating in the client's own self-healing growth process. Landor's practice currently involves working with individuals and with couples. Landor has experience helping individuals with anxiety, depression, work-related stress and burn-out, adjustment issues, family of origin issues, addiction, and search for meaning/life meaning and purpose counselling/coaching. Couples work includes relationship counselling and pre-marital assessments. Landor is authorized to work with aboriginal clients. Landor also works in the area of life, executive, and leadership assessment, development and coaching. His recent Ph. D(Education) is in the area of Leadership Development. He teaches graduate level courses in Educational Leadership, does management related seminars for the Faculty of Extension, and offers values based team building or organizational interventions. Landor is married to Judy and they have two daughters and one grand-daughter. Landor is involved in recreational activities (hockey, golf), reads extensively, loves the outdoors, and is committed to the value of growth, development, life-long learning and the role of informed spirituality in life. In addition to being a registered Psychologist with the Province of Alberta, Landor has been a long-standing member of the Canadian Association of Psychologists and two affiliated sub-groups specializing in Counselling Psychology and in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
