Welcome to Arts For Life Psychotherapy!

Laurie Bowen who is a Dramatic Arts Teacher, Social Worker and a Creative Arts Therapist. Laurie utilizes the arts (drama, art, music, dance and writing) in therapy which enhances the psychotherapy session. Talk therapy is combined with creative art therapies that bring healing and restoration to the body, mind and soul. Equine therapy (with horses) is also available and very effective in helping people who have anger, anxiety, fear and trust issues. Play therapy works well with children and music and art work well with teens. There is a dance class for seniors and a writing program for Mental Health Survivors.

About Laurie

She has managed to turn a traumatic childhood and teenage years into a wonderful, caring mother of 2 daughters and 3 grandbabies with a 4th on the way! She understands abusive relationships and divorce having gone through both herself. Is happily married now for 9 years to Mark, her partner in life and music.
