Lee Cassels received her MA in Counselling Psychology at Simon Fraser University in 1993.  Then she became an elementary school counsellor in Burnaby, BC.  The work she encountered in the school system was multifaceted and involved supporting families dealing with an array of issues.  In addition, Lee worked on contract with The Ark Child Service Society, a non-profit agency that counselled families experiencing loss due to marital separation, divorce or bereavement. Lee uses a variety of proven therapeutic approaches including cognitive behaviour therapy, solutuion focussed therapy, and family systems therapy.  Lee has additional training in the areas of trauma, critical incident debriefing, art, play and filial play therapy. These specialized areas of training help her in assisting both the adults and children in families as they address emotional concerns.  The counselling offered by Lee is caring, sensitive, and designed for positive and prompt results.
