I obtained my Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology
from Simon Fraser University in 2005, and have studied many different
methods of counselling and psychotherapy. Two approaches that I draw on
consistently in my work are
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
(ACT), both of which are well proven and useful approaches to the
treatment of psychological concerns. Fundamental to my practice is
treating each client in a holistic manner, as well as honouring and
respecting every individual in terms of their needs, inner strength,
and life goals. I have always been drawn to the field of psychology and
I enjoy staying current with new developments within the area, so that
I am able to integrate these into my practice to enhance my work and
benefit my clients.
