Hello! I’d like to take a moment to tell you about myself and my services through New Source Counseling Centers.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor in the State of Ohio. I am active in the Ohio Counseling Association and have served as President of that organization. My career began in the field of addictions, as I worked with alcoholics, drug addicts, and their families in outpatient treatment for a dozen years or so. Along the way, I dealt extensively with those who had grown up in alcoholic or other dysfunctional homes, gaining experience with depression, anxiety, grief, stress, trauma, life transitions, and other types of individual and relationship issues. I am an EMDR trained counselor and use that along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice.
I’ve worked with New Source since 1996. New Source is a Christian counseling agency, which allows me to use both proven clinical approaches and spiritual techniques appropriate to the client's particular preferences.
My clients include adults, adolescents, older children, and couples. I love the work that I do and have a hard time imagining doing anything else!
In addition to my counseling work, I love to do workshops and seminars for churches, Sunday School classes and other community groups. If your group would like to contact me about providing a workshop or seminar, please feel free to give me a call.
At this time, I am offering telehealth services only, using a secure online platform to ensure security. Virtual counseling provides an extra measure of flexibility when it comes to scheduling and allows you to meet with me from the comfort of your own home. New Source counselors also work on the west side of Cleveland and in the greater Columbus area.
