Mary is a compassionate Social Worker who has over twenty five years of experience working with individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings that includes child welfare, family services agencies and school socials work.

She currently has a private practice in Downtown Oakville and is available for day time and evening appointments.  She will also make herself available for Saturday appointments where needed.

Mary is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers.

She is also a Clinical Member with the American and Ontario Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Mary is passionate about her work and believes that everyone can begin to make positive changes in their lives within the therapeutic process.

She uses a variety of therapy models which include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Family of Origin Therapy and Christian Counselling if requested.

Her goal is to provide the confidential, supportive environment to help you grow in your personal life and to provide opportunity for you to heal from life’s challenges.

A collaborative approach is used in this process of healing as you explore your strengths and work through the issues that are causing you difficulty and pain.

Mary respects the uniqueness of each individual and will provide counselling in a sensitive and non judgmental manner.   Her personal experience and struggle with a cancer diagnosis and her experience with the challenging adjustment issues that newcomers to Canada encounter, has made her knowledgeable and sensitive regarding these issues and its effects on families.
