Mary is a compassionate Social Worker who has
over twenty five years of experience working with individuals, couples and
families in a variety of settings that includes child welfare, family services
agencies and school socials work.
She currently has a private practice in Downtown
Oakville and is available for day time and evening appointments. She will also make herself available for
Saturday appointments where needed.
Mary
is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College
of Social Workers and
Social Services Workers.
She
is also a Clinical Member with the American and Ontario Association for Marriage
and Family Therapy.
Mary is passionate about her work and
believes that everyone can begin to make positive changes in their lives within
the therapeutic process.
She uses a variety of therapy models which
include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems
Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Family of Origin
Therapy and Christian Counselling if requested.
Her goal is to provide the confidential, supportive
environment to help you grow in your personal life and to provide opportunity
for you to heal from life’s challenges.
A collaborative approach is used in this
process of healing as you explore your strengths and work through the issues
that are causing you difficulty and pain.
Mary respects the uniqueness of each
individual and will provide counselling in a sensitive and non judgmental
manner. Her personal experience and struggle
with a cancer diagnosis and her experience with the challenging adjustment
issues that newcomers to Canada
encounter, has made her knowledgeable and sensitive regarding these issues and
its effects on families.

On a personal note, Mary is married and has
three adult children. She has two
adorable grand daughters who are the delight of her life.

Fees
Fees for service are reasonable and you
will be provided with a receipt. Mary offers fees on a sliding scale to accommodate your ability to pay for
